At the core of ExAdEx-Innov’s platform is a fundamental challenge that the biomedical research community has long faced: the inability of traditional testing methods (2D cell cultures, animal models, or synthetic scaffolds) to accurately predict human outcomes. By working exclusively with donor-derived human adipose tissue, our patented ExAdEx technology generates fully functional 3D ex vivo models that preserve what makes human tissue unique: mature adult and progenitor cells, an intact vascular and lymphatic network, and a native three-dimensional extracellular matrix — with no exogenous materials added.
The result is a platform that delivers first-in-human data without a single patient enrolled in a trial.

In pharmaceutical R&D, the platform is tailored to address metabolic diseases such as obesity, insulin resistance, and cardiometabolic conditions, as well as the tissue-level responses that accompany them: fibrosis, chronic inflammation, extracellular matrix remodeling, and vascular impairment. Our models support mechanism-of-action studies, biomarker identification, and early compound profiling, providing actionable data that helps teams make better-informed go/no-go decisions well before clinical development begins.
In dermo-cosmetics and aesthetic medicine, the same tissue architecture enables precise claims validation and active ingredient testing in a physiologically relevant context that no reconstructed model can replicate. From anti-aging strategies to the study of complex phenomena like GLP-1-induced tissue changes, ExAdEx models provide mechanistic insights directly translatable to human populations.
The platform also underlies the ExAdEx Longevity Lab™, our hybrid in silico / ex vivo framework designed to study aging and tissue rejuvenation through a holistic, multi-endpoint approach: exploring senescence, inflammaging, mitochondrial dysfunction, stem cell pool exhaustion, and vascular impairment in a single integrated system.

Vincent is responsible of company strategy and technological innovation, thanks to his double skill set in science and deeptech startup development.
With a deep knowledge and vision about ExAdEx technology, Vincent has actively worked as a deeptech entrepreneur to push further the development of breakthrough innovative products around human adipose tissue, which lead him to create ExAdEx-Inov.
In addition to his entrepreneurial skills, Vincent has a strong background in biology (PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Université Côte d’Azur) and training in clinical research management (CRA training at the Faculty of Medicine of La Timone, Marseille).
He is co-inventor of the 2 company’s patent families.

Luigi is responsible of the management of company operations and business development strategy, thanks to his expertise in biotech startup development.
With a double competence and training in business and science (including an MBA from IAE Paris Sorbonne Business School and a PhD in Cytological Sciences from Rome University La Sapienza), Luigi has been managing business development and R&D projects in a preclinical CRO and a biotech startup company in previous years.
He has been supporting ExAdEx-Innov project and business development since his position as an Entrepreneur in Residence for CNRS Innovation Tech Transfer Office in 2021.
